Reverend Phil Butin preached at the Boise Presbytery meeting yesterday about forming community by being uniform or by being united. I liked the united option much better.
He likened being united to climbing Mt. Everest and being tied together in the dangerous parts for safety. He didn't mention this would result in a bigger disaster if the danger was big enough, since we would all fall down, but I liked the image anyway.
Monte from Boone Church mentioned to Reverend Butin the lack of business acumen in seminary graduates. Ron Tincher mentioned other administrative skills lacking.
